Job description

  • Join our advanced research and innovation team developing next-generation Artificial Intelligence solutions for complex Defence, National Security and commercial challenges
  • Work on cutting-edge research across Large Language Models, Natural Language Processing, Knowledge Graphs, Agentic AI and Graph Machine Learning
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, academic partners and industry experts to develop innovative AI capabilities
  • Create proof-of-concept solutions and contribute to research with real-world impact
  • Work on AI research and innovation projects supporting Defence and National Security programmes

Requirements

  • PhD in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Science or a closely related discipline
  • Strong software development experience using Python
  • Hands-on experience with Machine Learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
  • Experience working with Large Language Models, Knowledge Graphs, Graph Machine Learning or Natural Language Processing
  • Experience developing AI prototypes, proof-of-concept solutions or research projects
  • Familiarity with development tools such as Git, Docker and modern AI frameworks including LangChain, LangGraph or similar
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience producing technical reports or research documentation
  • Publications, open-source contributions or recognised research within AI/ML would be highly advantageous but not essential
  • Must be eligible for Security Clearance and able to satisfy UK security vetting requirements
