Job description

We're looking for a motivated graduate to join a cyber consultancy team in Bristol and begin building a career in security consulting and penetration testing, with structured mentorship and training from day one.

This is a genuine entry point into the industry - not just a support role, but a proper foundation for a long-term career in offensive security.

What you'll be doing:

  • Carrying out security assessments and vulnerability scans across client systems, networks and applications
  • Taking part in penetration testing engagements under guidance and supervision, helping identify and exploit vulnerabilities in client environments
  • Analysing security risks and contributing to recommendations that help clients strengthen their security posture
  • Keeping up to date with relevant security regulations and compliance standards, and supporting clients in meeting them
  • Producing clear, well-structured reports covering findings, assessments and recommended actions
  • Communicating findings to clients in a way that's accessible and easy to understand, even for non-technical stakeholders
  • Supporting incident response activities and handling procedures
  • Continuously building your knowledge of security tools, techniques and emerging trends

Requirements

  • Experience with Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap or other security testing tools
  • A Bachelor's degree, ideally in a STEM subject
  • A genuine interest in and understanding of technology and information security concepts
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Comfortable working both independently on client sites and as part of a wider team
  • A real appetite to learn and develop technically
  • Any relevant certifications, projects or internships in cyber security or computer science are a bonus, though not essential

Why this role

This is a rare opportunity to start your security career somewhere that genuinely invests in graduates - with structured mentorship from senior consultants, funded certifications and training, and exposure to varied, high-impact projects across some of the most security-conscious sectors in the UK. Rather than sitting on the sidelines, you'll be actively involved in real client engagements from early on, with a clear path to grow into a fully-fledged penetration tester or security consultant.

If you're a recent graduate who's serious about breaking into cyber security and wants to learn from experienced practitioners in a genuinely supportive environment, we'd love to hear from you.
