Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer

The Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer will play an integral role maintaining, developing and securing the companies Azure, Network and Windows IT infrastructure across all UK sites., * Lead the management and development of the organisation's IT infrastructure.

• Support and maintain on-premise and cloud-based environments.
• Administer Microsoft Server technologies, Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
• Manage virtualisation platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Monitor infrastructure performance, capacity and availability.
• Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.
• Drive infrastructure projects, upgrades and technology refresh programmes.
• Ensure systems remain secure and compliant with cybersecurity best practices.
• Provide 3rd line technical support and act as a senior escalation point.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to deliver high-quality IT services.

• Excellent experience with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, Entra ID (Azure AD), Microsoft Intune, SharePoint, OneDrive and Sophos.
• Extensive experience with azure cloud technologies and azure backup systems.
• Good networking experience - TCP/IP DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing and switching, VPN technologies, firewalls, WAN connectivity, and Wi-Fi.
• Proficient with VMware vSphere/ESXi, Virtual infrastructure management, virtual server administration and maintenance, high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
• Windows, networking, cloud or security certifications would be advantageous
• Good experience with Veeam backup and disaster recovery solutions, cyber security best practices, and PowerShell scripting.
