Job description
The Department of Chemical Biology and Therapeutics is seeking a bioinformatician to join our highly collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience working with systems biology, drug-gene interactions, and network analysis. Projects will focus on advancing cutting-edge drug discovery programs for childhood catastrophic diseases using the latest approaches in proximity-based targeting. Specifically, based on the mechanistic basis of disease, our goal is to develop unique chemical approaches (protein degraders, synthetic gene regulators and/or functional effectors) to degrade or manipulate targets relevant to pediatric oncology, neurodegenerative disorders an
Requirements
Minimum Requirement: 4+ years of relevant experience required. Experience Exception: Master's degree and 1+ years of relevant experience. Experience in at least one programming or scripting language and at least one statistical package, with R preferred. Experience in high throughput screening and proteomics data analysis strongly preferred. Bachelor's degree in bioinformatics, cheminformatics, statistics/computer science (with a background in biological sciences or chemistry) or related field. Master's degree preferred.
