Job description
- Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain complex database objects-including Stored Procedures, Functions, Packages, and Triggers -using SQL and PL/SQL.
- System Integration: Develop and support robust system interfaces; design and maintain materialized views for data replication in distributed environments.
- Collaboration & Documentation: Coordinate with project managers and analysts to gather specifications for core modules, draft technical design documents, and document processes for effective evaluation.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor existing PL/SQL packages and stored procedures, recommending tuning strategies for business process improvements where needed.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Act as a technical point of contact to troubleshoot user- reported issues and ensure efficient transitions of technical designs to application developers.
- SDLC Management: Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) from analysis to design, testing, and implementation, ensuring timely delivery against aggressive deadlines.
Requirements

Core Technologies: Experience in Oracle Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) and application development using Oracle 11g/10g/6i.

Database Programming: Experience in SQL, PL/SQL, SQLPLUS, SQLLOADER, and TOAD (or sql developer).

Advanced PL/SQL: Experience in table triggers, bulk collections, and analytical functions.

Oracle Supplied Packages: Working knowledge of DBMS_SQL, DBMS_JOB, and UTL_FILE.

Database Architecture: Experience in creating/modifying Tables, Views, Constraints, and Indexes.
Preferred Qualifications (Bonus)
While not explicitly required, experience in the following areas is highly valued:
- Data Warehousing & ETL: Familiarity with data warehouse concepts, Extract-Transform-
Load processes, and data migration.
- Scripting: Unix/Linux shell scripting, Python, Java
- Legacy Oracle: Experience with Oracle Forms (6i) and Oracle Reports (6i).
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- 5 years experience
- Proven track record as an Oracle PL/SQL Developer, ideally in a manufacturing, defense, or aerospace environment
