This role performs end-to-end system testing with a strong emphasis on software test for an advanced radar system. Responsibilities include developing clear, step-by-step requirements verification procedures for formal on-site system acceptance testing, and supporting fault detection, isolation, and recovery during subsystem-to-system integration testing. The role also aggregates and analyzes technical data and provides key inputs to final acceptance test reporting.
- Execute software testing on an advanced radar system.
- Develop and maintain test plans, test procedures, and test reports.
- Create detailed requirements verification procedures to support formal acceptance testing at the site.
- Support system/subsystem integration and test activities, including fault detection, fault isolation, and fault recovery.
- Document test requirements and verification methodologies in the requirements management system.
- Review systems engineering documentation to ensure test plans and methodologies are accurate, complete, consistent, and aligned to system needs.
- Support development of system integration plans, procedures, and scenarios for software/hardware integration testing.
- Participate in system/element-level test planning, including test readiness reviews; prepare for and execute assigned test events.
- Contribute to the development of innovative test automation solutions.
- Support an Agile software development team and coordinate effectively with engineers and stakeholders across the integration and test effort.
- Participate in engineering peer reviews as a document originator and/or reviewer to ensure appropriate technical rigor and quality.
- Report to the Integration and Test Lead.
Requirements
- 5 Years with bachelor's in science; 3 Years with Masters; 1 Year with PhD. 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- The willingness and ability to support combined international and CONUS travel up to 30%.
- Experience developing software requirements verification procedures.
- Experience conducting formal requirements verification tests.
- Experience preparing test reports.
- Must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI approval/access.
Must provide evidence of skills/knowledge/experience in at least two of the preferred qualification areas listed below.)
- Experience working on an Integration & Test team across multiple engineering disciplines.
- 2+ years hands-on experience in missile defense, space tracking, and/or satellite operations (in lieu of degree).
- Experience integrating large, complex systems with diverse hardware and software elements.
- Ability to support Integration and Test/Checkout (IATC) of hardware and software configuration items.
- Experience generating Modeling & Simulation (M&S) scenarios.
- Ability to document and record integration activities (plans, procedures, results, and deficiencies).
- International integration and/or test experience.
- Software development integration and test methodologies experience.
- Working knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
- CompTIA Security+ certification.
- SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner) certification.
- Experience integrating large ground data processing systems.
- Experience with radar processing algorithms or software integration.
- Experience with C++.
Benefits & conditions
Primary Level Salary Range: $94,200.00 - $141,200.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
