Job description

We are seeking a motivated Software Engineer to support the design, development, and deployment of modern applications, backend services, and APIs. This role leverages AI-assisted development tools to accelerate software delivery while maintaining high standards for code quality, security, and maintainability. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable solutions, participate in code reviews, perform testing and optimization activities, and critically evaluate AI-generated code., * Assist in the design, development, and deployment of applications, services, and system components, using AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery.

  • Use AI coding assistants and code-generation tools to implement features, scaffold boilerplate, and refactor existing code under guidance from senior engineers.
  • Develop backend services and APIs that support business and enterprise applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, QA engineers, and fellow developers, to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Perform testing, debugging, and optimization of applications to ensure performance, scalability, and reliability, leveraging AI tools for test generation and code analysis where appropriate.
  • Critically review and validate AI-generated code for correctness, security, and maintainability before integration.
  • Participate in code reviews and follow best practices in software engineering and the responsible use of AI-assisted development.
  • Document technical designs, implementation details, and usage guidelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or technical STEM field (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related discipline).
  • Solid programming skills in at least one language such as Python, Java, C#, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor) to build, test, or maintain software, and an interest in incorporating them into the development workflow.
  • Ability to read, navigate, and reason about large or unfamiliar codebases quickly.
  • A security- and correctness-first mindset, treating AI-generated code as untrusted until verified and recognizing common failure modes (e.g., hallucinated APIs, subtle logic errors, insecure patterns).
  • Experience with software development fundamentals, including version control (e.g., Git) and debugging.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, or web application development, along with working knowledge of databases (SQL or NoSQL), data processing, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
  • Demonstrated track record of shipped software, ideally including work delivered with AI assistance (e.g., portfolio, GitHub, or referenceable projects).
  • Fluency in Mandarin Chinese preferred, * Good problem-solving skills, effective communication, and the ability to work well in a team and learn new technologies quickly.
  • Strong interest in using AI to improve developer productivity, code quality, and delivery speed.
  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and core software design principles.
  • Strong system design skills, including the ability to architect scalable, maintainable, and well-structured solutions.
  • Sound engineering judgment about when to rely on AI and when not to-recognizing plausible-but-wrong output and redirecting a model that is heading down a bad path.
  • Familiarity with effective prompting and context-management techniques for getting reliable output from AI coding tools.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and container technologies such as Docker.
  • Internship or project experience related to software engineering or application development.
