Job description
Our client seeks a Software Engineer in Test to advance quality assurance for data engineering within the Workplace Investing domain. The role focuses on building and maintaining test automation frameworks to validate data pipeline integrity, quality, and performance while contributing to analysis, development, and DevOps for a cloud data platform. The team operates in a co-located Agile environment supporting an Employer Digital initiative for Client Reporting., * Design, implement, and maintain QA automation frameworks for data pipelines to ensure data integrity, quality, and performance.
- Contribute to analysis, development, and DevOps tasks for the cloud data platform within a co-located Agile squad.
- Define end-to-end test strategies, establish exit criteria, and align with audit and compliance commitments.
- Drive quality earlier in the lifecycle and coordinate quality activities throughout epics and sprints.
- Collaborate with product development, external teams, and management to complete testing efforts.
- Contribute to the automation roadmap and promote quality engineering innovation across teams.
Requirements

- 6+ years of software quality assurance or solid equivalent experience desired.
- 2+ years of Big Data, Data Lake, or Data Warehouse experience desired.
- Expert knowledge of software development, QA principles, and Agile methodology.
- Strong SQL skills and development experience with Java and Python.
- Test automation experience for RESTful services using tools such as Cucumber, JUnit, Selenium, RestAssured, Git, Gradle, or Maven.
- Data engineering experience with Snowflake, Airflow, and public cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Experience with BI reporting tools such as OBIEE, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Experience with ETL data pipeline testing for Data Warehouse platforms; exposure to iCEDQ preferred.
- Knowledge of data pipeline testing and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proven experience across analysis, design, coding, testing, problem resolution, and planning.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills within Agile squads.
- Experience in retirement plan administration or financial services is a plus.
- ISTQB certification is nice to have.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher.
