Job description
The Cybersecurity Project Manager II will support one of Insight Global's largest retail clients leading the delivery of medium- to high-complexity cybersecurity and technology initiatives, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with security, risk, and governance requirements. This role manages cross-functional teams, vendors, project budgets, resources, and stakeholder communications while driving secure technology implementations and operational resilience.
Day to Day/Responsibilities:
- Lead medium- to large-scale cybersecurity, infrastructure, and technology programs using Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid methodologies.
- Develop and manage project scope, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and governance frameworks.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate cybersecurity, compliance, operational, and project risks.
- Coordinate requirements gathering, security reviews, testing, and validation activities.
- Manage vendor engagements, contract negotiations, statements of work, and third-party security dependencies.
- Drive stakeholder communications, executive reporting, and steering committee updates. Lead cross-functional teams, providing direction, coaching, and performance oversight.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- 5-7+ years of experience leading complex IT or cybersecurity projects.
- Experience with cybersecurity programs, risk management, compliance initiatives, infrastructure security, or security operations.
- Strong vendor management and contract negotiation experience.
- Knowledge of project portfolio management tools (Planview, OnePlan, Primavera) and Microsoft 365 collaboration tools.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Nice to Haves:
- PMP, CSM, CISSP, Security+, or other project management and cybersecurity certifications preferred.
- PM experience in a retail environment
