Senior Software Engineer in San Carlos

• A degree in (business) informatics, computer science, or a related technical field. \n

• 5+ Years of software engineering experience \n

• Advanced, hands-on experience with Python. \n

• Solid understanding and practical use of Docker-you know how to containerize like a pro. \n

• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and how to build clean, scalable web services. \n

• Deep experience with event-driven architecture-ideally using tools like Kafka to keep systems talking smoothly \n, * Working proficiency with GitHub-based CI/CD workflows \n

• Proficient in databases such as PostgreSQL and/or MongoDB \n

• Familiarity with various file systems or cloud storage platforms \n

• Comfortable working independently in globally distributed teams \n

• Experienced in agile development and fast-paced project environments \n

• Background in production or manufacturing settings is a big plus \n

• Experience with AI based development workflows \n

• Develop Python and applications that power our enterprise infrastructure. \n

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across time zones to support both internal and external users. \n

• Build scalable systems that bridge high-level business logic with time-series production data and hardware. \n

Required, Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $141,000 - $217,700/yr.

The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
