Job description
We are seeking a CRM Designer, Email & Front-End Specialist to join our Consumer Marketing Creative team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in email and CRM lifecycle design and development, front-end execution, and modular template systems and a proven ability to build high-performing, on-brand assets that drive subscription and membership revenue across the consumer lifecycle. This role is full-time at 40 hours per week, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with overtime requiring prior approval., * Email and CRM design/development. Design and build responsive, on-brand HTML emails optimized for rendering and deliverability across major clients and devices.
- Templates and systems. Develop and maintain modular, reusable email templates and CRM design systems within ESPs such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, or Iterable.
- Lifecycle creative. Conceptualize, design, and develop display banners, paid social creative, animations, video, and multimedia assets for acquisition, onboarding, engagement, retention, and win-back.
- Front-end execution. Apply HTML/CSS and basic JavaScript to hand-code or troubleshoot email and web assets for pixel-accurate, cross-client and cross-browser execution.
- Quality assurance. QA all email and digital assets using tools such as Litmus or Email on Acid, resolving rendering issues prior to deployment.
- Brand alignment. Ensure visuals, messaging, and interactivity align with creative vision and individual brand standards across the portfolio.
- Strategy and craft. Follow strategic design principles to deliver best-in-class assets that drive consumer business growth.
- Data collaboration. Partner with Creative Leads and Project Management to analyze performance and recommend optimizations.
- Communication. Provide regular updates on timelines and progress to Project Management and peers.
- Market awareness. Stay current on competitive landscape, email/CRM best practices, front-end trends, and consumer revenue trends.
- Asset management. Organize raw media, code, and finished files with proper storage and backup for internal and external access.
Requirements
- 4-5 years of design experience delivering engaging, revenue-oriented campaigns in marketing, advertising, or e-commerce.
- Hands-on expertise designing and coding responsive HTML emails, with command of email-specific HTML/CSS and cross-client rendering for Outlook, Gmail, and Apple Mail.
- Experience working within an ESP such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, or Iterable.
- Working knowledge of front-end development with HTML and CSS; JavaScript is a plus.
- Ability to design display banners and paid/digital ad assets to IAB specifications, including motion and static variants.
- A portfolio showcasing email, CRM, and display/banner work that demonstrates quality and consumer engagement outcomes.
- Strong grasp of typography, color theory, UX, and brand-aligned visual systems.
- Clear communication and collaborative working style with Creative Directors and cross-functional partners.
- High attention to detail across design, copy, code, and interactivity to ensure consistency with standards.
- Strong organization and time management to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines with regular status updates.
- Proactive approach to learning and adopting new design and front-end techniques and tools, including AI-assisted workflows.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of ADA-compliant and accessible email/web design.
- Motion graphics and animation skills with a solid understanding of UX/UI and social principles.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and After Effects; G Suite and project management tools.
- Experience with email testing platforms such as Litmus or Email on Acid and with an ESP environment.
