Job description
The Systems Analyst II supports and improves systems and processes within the Office of the University Registrar, with a focus on student data, Degree Works, and institutional reporting. This role develops and maintains reporting solutions, supports enrollment reporting to external agencies,including NSC and NSLDS, and ensures data accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
The position troubleshoots complex issues, improves workflows, and implements system enhancements to increase efficiency and reduce manual processes. This role plays a key part in maintaining data integrity and supporting student success through effective use of technology., * Degree Audit System Management & Support - manage and support the degree audit system, including encoding and maintaining degree requirements. Serve as the primary point of contact for advisors, academic departments, and the Graduate College, troubleshoot system issues, and ensure accuracy and consistency across programs.
- Enrollment Reporting & Data Compliance- responsible for enrollment reporting to external agencies, including the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) and National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS). Ensures data accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with federal, state, and institutional requirements. Investigates and resolves reporting errors, validates data across systems, and supports financial aid and compliance audits.
- System Development, Reporting, and Process Improvement -develop and maintain reporting solutions using SQL, Logi, and related tools to support operational and strategic needs. Identify opportunities to improve workflows, reduce manual processes, and increase efficiency through automation and system enhancements. Support the design, testing, and implementation of system and process improvements across registrar functions.
- Term Processing & Registration Support- coordinate and lead start-of-term and end-of-term processes, including census, registration, grading, and related system inactivities. Provide setup, monitoring, testing, and troubleshooting for key processes such as time tickets, waitlisting, and roster management. Monitor deadlines, identify risks, and resolve issues to ensure term processes are completed accurately and on schedule. Develop and maintain academic and operational calendars to support registration, grading, and institutional reporting.
- Other Duties as Assigned - Perform other duties as assigned by the Associate University Registrar to support departmental operations, special projects, and evolving system and process needs. Assigned tasks are completed accurately, timely, and in alignment with departmental and university expectations.

- Experience working with data, reporting, or student information systems.
- Experience using SQL or similar tools for data extraction and analysis.
- Experience troubleshooting system or data-related issues and identifying solutions.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail when working with complex data.
- Ability to communicate technical and functional information clearly to non-technical users.
- Experience working with confidential data and understanding of data privacy requirements (e.g.,FERPA).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Banner Student Information System.
- Experience with Degree Works, including degree audit maintenance or scribing.
- Experience interpreting academic catalogs, curriculum requirements, or degree audits.
- Experience with reporting tools such as Logi or similar platforms.
- Experience supporting enrollment reporting or compliance-related processes (e.g., NSC, NSLDS).
- Experience supporting start-of-term or end-of-term processes in a higher education environment.
- Experience supporting or leading process improvements, automation, or system enhancements.
- Experience working in a Registrar's Office or similar academic administrative environment.
