Job description

You will be the ADP Skunkworks Digital Transformation Integration Senior Staff - Level 5 for the ADP Skunkworks Digital Transformation Integration team who is responsible for advancing AI-driven engineering automation across the defense acquisition lifecycle.

What You Will Be Doing

As the ADP Skunkworks Digital Transformation Integration Senior Staff - Level 5 you will be responsible for shaping the product vision, guiding technical execution, and serving as the central authority that connects engineers, program offices, industry partners, and research institutions.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Define and own the product roadmap, translating sustainment and design engineer needs into a defensible software architecture.
  • Govern the core data ontology and direct the AI-powered software development effort.
  • Lead research and development of machine-learning, knowledge-representation, and deep-learning models that automate the creation of engineering and sustainment work products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams-software, ontology, simulation, UI/UX, test, and external partners-to ensure seamless integration and validation.
  • Deliver prototypes through operational release, optimizing performance, security, and compliance for defense and commercial customers.
  • Serves as the senior algorithm and AI research expert with current knowledge of modern machine learning research and contributes to the inception of ideas that drive development cycles from research, through prototype and test, for a major project or a component of a major project.

Requirements

You are a senior artificial-intelligence research engineer with a proven track record of leading complex, high-impact projects. You thrive in collaborative environments, bridge research and product delivery, and possess deep expertise in machine learning, data ontology, and systems engineering. Your strategic mindset and hands-on technical authority set this role apart., MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.

  • Role can be performed in Fort Worth, TX, Marietta, GA, or Palmdale, CA., * Must hold a Final DoD Secret clearance prior to start.

  • Holds a Bachelors degree in a related disciple, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional teams (i.e. engineering, finance, program management, sustainment). Demonstrated experience in project leadership in delivering proven results in partnership with multiple stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated experience with artificial intelligence (AI) research, implementation, software development, and/or application of large language models in sustainment or engineering context.

  • Demonstrated experience with military logistics, sustainment, supply chain management, inventory management, and/or warehousing to deliver and/or sustain aerospace products. Desired Skills:

  • An advanced degree in computer science, artificial intelligence, knowledge or data engineering, systems engineering, or a related technical discipline, together with an active peer reviewed publication record, is highly desirable given the research dimension of this role.

  • Demonstrated leadership with self-starter driver; Proven ability to influence others

  • DoD acquisition and proposal experience across a System Life Cycle

  • Experience with data ontology and knowledge architecture

  • Experience in product ownership and solution development

  • Experience in Computer Aided Design (CAD) Modeling

  • Experience in the Sustainment phase of the Life Cycle

  • Experience effectively briefing Senior and Executive Level Leadership

  • Experience supporting a major IT system modernization projects like Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently; Analytical thinker with a demonstrated ability of solving complex problems with require ingenuity and innovation Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration., Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $117,200 - $206,770. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $134,900 - $233,680. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
