Skilled- CNCLathe Setup/Programmer

We are seeking an experienced CNC Mill Setup Programmer/Machinist to join our growing manufacturing team on 1st shift. This is a hands-on role for a skilled professional who can independently program CNC mills using G-code, perform complete machine setups, and design/build fixtures to support precision machining operations. Skilled- CNCLathe Setup/Programmer Responsibilities:

• Write and edit G-code programs for CNC milling machines.
• Perform complete machine setups, prove out programs, and optimize cycle times.
• Design and build fixtures for machining centers.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
• Select tooling, establish work offsets, and make program adjustments as needed.
• Verify dimensions using precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality specifications and tolerances.
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and programming issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve manufacturing processes.

Minimum 5 years of current CNC mill programming experience.

• Strong experience writing and editing G-code.
• Proven ability to perform complete CNC mill setups independently.
• Experience designing and building machining fixtures.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficient with precision measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, feeds, speeds, and tight tolerances.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining high quality standards.
