Job description
- Performing peer testing and code review, troubleshooting and debugging issues, contributing to all levels of the architecture, maintaining key system technical documentation, and developing a familiarity with new tools and best practices.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and further implementation of best practices in software development, unit testing, agile scrum, and DevSecOps.
- Collaborating with the team to author technical reports and demonstrate capabilities to both internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or another technical field with 5 years of experience or Master's degree and no years of relevant experience or;
- Masters (MS/MA) in a related field with 3 years of experience

Active Security+ Certification, or equivalent, or the ability to obtain one within 6 months from start date

Strong knowledge of C, C++, Java, or other C-style, cross-platform programming languages

Experience developing software for and configuring Linux and/or Unix systems

Demonstrated experience writing, testing, and debugging software

Ability to develop and document system-level design options, including integration with commercial and government off-the-shelf (COTS/GOTS) systems and software

Experience with version control, issue tracking, and documentation tools

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Adaptability and initiative to perform a wide variety of tasks to achieve program success

Active TS/SCI clearance

Active Security+ Certification

Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems

Linux development experience at both user and kernel levels

Experience modifying and compiling large open-source codebases

Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker

Experience with DevSecOps tools such as GitLab, SonarQube, Coverity, etc.

Experience with dnf package management using local repositories
