Sr. React Engineer

We are seeking a Senior React Native Mobile Engineer to design, develop, and maintain high-quality consumer-facing mobile applications that power TelevisaUnivision's sports, news, entertainment, and streaming experiences. This individual will collaborate closely with Product, Design, Data, QA, and Engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable solutions and take ownership of initiatives from concept through production release. The role will drive technical excellence by contributing to application architecture, improving scalability, performance, maintainability, and developer productivity, while promoting engineering best practices through code reviews and technical leadership. The engineer will work across both native and cross-platform technologies, partnering with iOS and Android teams to build integrations, maintain React Native modules and bridges, troubleshoot complex issues, and support platform modernization efforts such as React Native's New Architecture. Responsibilities also include optimizing application performance and reliability, monitoring production environments, resolving user-impacting issues, reducing technical debt, and improving overall customer experience. Additionally, this position will help shape the mobile platform strategy by evolving shared frameworks and development standards, evaluating emerging technologies, participating in technical roadmap discussions, and mentoring junior engineers. The ideal candidate embraces AI-enhanced engineering practices, leveraging AI-powered tools to accelerate development, testing, debugging, documentation, and code reviews while applying strong technical judgment to ensure the quality, accuracy, and reliability of AI-assisted solutions.

4-5 years of experience within React Native developement

Must be advance in iOS and Android development and optimization leveraging Kotlin and Swift

4 years of experience with Javascript and Typescript

Must have experience with GraphQL and REST APIs

Must have knowledge of Mobile application architecture patterns

Agile environment working in 2 week sprints on user-facing applications Firebase
