Software Development Engineer

From building intuitive AI web interfaces to writing Python for geoprocessing tools and AI agents, you'll be exposed to the full development lifecycle and cutting-edge GIS solutions., * Build server-side Java components and web services to power user experience and geospatial workflows

• Prototype, design, develop, and deliver complete software features and products that can scale, are fault tolerant, and handle concurrent workloads
• Design, architect, and build complete software features/products to meet customer requirements
• Find, analyze, and fix bugs/performance problems whenever and wherever they occur
• Work collaboratively with other teams to understand requirements and incorporate them into the software
• Mentor and groom junior engineers through design and code reviews, technology presentations, and insights

• One (1) year of experience in the job offered, or one (1) year of experience in a related occupation
• Demonstrated experience in Java, REST, Python, Security/AWS, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Maven
• Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Science, Engineering, GIS, or a related field

Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is $137,000 - $140,000 USD
