Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Administrator / Engineer to support and maintain a complex multi-site IT infrastructure for one of our nonprofit clients. This individual will be responsible for the design, administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization of enterprise network, server, cloud, and security environments. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Microsoft technologies, networking, virtualization, cybersecurity, and infrastructure operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and support enterprise Microsoft 365 environments, including:

Microsoft 365 Admin Center Azure Active Directory (Entra ID) Exchange Online SharePoint Online Microsoft Teams

  • Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure including:

Cisco switches SonicWall firewalls Fortinet networking equipment UniFi wireless networks and access points

Manage and support:

Active Directory Group Policy DNS/DHCP Virtualized server environments (VMware)

Monitor network performance, system health, security, and capacity utilizing enterprise monitoring tools.

Perform infrastructure troubleshooting across:

Servers Network devices Wireless networks Internet connectivity Voice and video systems

  • Support disaster recovery, backup, failover, and business continuity initiatives.

  • Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls, endpoint protection, and network security best practices.

  • Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and infrastructure modernization.

  • Support onboarding/offboarding activities, user access management, and system administration tasks.

  • Document network architecture, configurations, procedures, and technical solutions.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in Network Administration, Systems Administration, or Infrastructure Engineering.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

  • CCNA Certification or equivalent networking certification.
  • VMware certifications.
  • Experience with ConnectWise, Sophos, or similar management and monitoring platforms.
  • Experience supporting multi-site environments.
  • Experience with VoIP platforms such as RingCentral.
  • Experience with video surveillance systems and physical access control technologies.
