Job description
The VP, Systems & Reports Analyst serves as a critical enterprise resource, assisting cross-functional departments in maximizing the utility of the Bank's core systems and generating complex custom reports to support data-driven decision-making. Operating independently and with minimal supervision, this individual formulates technical strategies and implements automated workflows to streamline banking operations., Additionally, this position serves as the primary backup to the Core Systems Manager. The incumbent helps manage, maintain, configure, and optimize core banking platforms, working in close coordination with internal IT teams and external infrastructure vendors to ensure peak performance, system security, and operational continuity., * System Configuration: Assist the VP Core Systems Manager with customizing, configuring, and maintaining the core banking environment to align with strategic business requirements and shifting regulatory expectations. \n

Vendor & Third-Party Integration: Act as a primary liaison with the Bank's core banking vendors to log tickets, validate system settings, manage updates, and securely integrate external third-party applications. \n

Auditing & Change Management: Perform and document rigorous, periodic system audits to validate the accuracy of user roles, maintain strict data permission controls, and enforce change management protocols. \n

Regulatory Compliance: Coordinate directly with internal auditors and regulatory examiners to provide system validation testing evidence, technical documentation, and security control parameters. \n

Testing & Implementation: Drive system upgrades, migrations, and environmental testing. Design and execute script validation within the Bank's various test environments to mitigate implementation risk. \n

Continuous Improvement: Troubleshoot core system errors impacting clients, coordinate rapid resolutions, and actively participate in specialized training (e.g., Fiserv DNA networks and communities) to keep the institution at the forefront of core banking best practices. \n

Community & Regulatory Responsibility

CRA Participation: Maintain a minimum of 10 hours of Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) volunteer service per year. Volunteer hours are typically scheduled within business hours and represent compensable time, with documented travel mileage reimbursed by the Bank. \n

Other Duties: Execute additional technical or project-based assignments as directed by operational leadership. \n, Occasional local, out-of-area, and overnight travel may be required for corporate events, vendor conferences, or regional training.
Requirements

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of dedicated systems analyst experience focusing on core banking systems administration and operational integration. \n

Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional work experience across business management and systems administration disciplines. \n

Certifications: Relevant Project Management certification (PMP or equivalent) highly . \n

Technical Skills: \n

Advanced proficiency in writing custom database reports and handling unstructured data. \n

Deep foundational knowledge of bank operations, core platform mechanics, system integration, and security protocols. \n

Proficiency utilizing MS Project or comparable project portfolio management (PPM) software., * Exceptional collaborative problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to independently resolve highly unique, unprecedented technical issues. \n
