Job description

Examples of Duties:

The Central Office Resource Teacher assigned to support Strategic Planning for Student Achievement (SPSA) is responsible for providing leadership and support to school sites in implementing School Site Council responsibilities, developing School Plans for Student Achievement (SPSAs), and ensuring compliance with state and federal program requirements. The role collaborates closely with school administrators, district staff, and advisory groups to strengthen planning processes, improve program implementation, and support continuous improvement. Travel to school sites throughout the district is required. The incumbent will be expected to:

  • Partner with Principals, school leadership teams, and School Site Councils to support the development, implementation, and monitoring of School Plans for Student Achievement (SPSAs).

  • Provide training and technical assistance to school administrators, staff, and School Site Councils regarding state and federal program requirements and district procedures.

  • Attend School Site Council and District Advisory Council meetings to provide guidance and ensure compliance with legal requirements.

  • Conduct compliance reviews of school plans, budgets, and supporting documentation related to Compensatory Education and other categorical programs.

  • Monitor program implementation and provide recommendations to ensure continuous compliance and effective use of resources.

  • Collaborate with district departments and school personnel to resolve compliance issues and support continuous improvement efforts.

Requirements

Candidates should demonstrate experience interpreting and monitoring state and federal compliance requirements, conducting detailed document reviews, and maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Experience designing and delivering professional development for both small and large audiences, along with strong written and verbal communication skills, is preferred., Valid California Multiple or Single Subject Teaching Credential by the closing date of the application deadline.
