Job description
- Provide guidance and expertise to identify trends, patterns, and other insights.
- Provide analytics support to audits and investigations.
- Utilize algorithms to identify and test potential causal variables and identify sub-populations via cluster-analysis.
- Develop and deploy a machine-learning model to aid in fraud detection.
- Utilize NLP techniques to ingest, encode, and semantically classify and query large text corpora.
- Aid in the development of dashboards or reports to visualize data and storytelling.
- Assist in ingestion, transformation, and configuration of data in cloud-based data lake or data warehouse.
- Produce network graphs, interactive maps, or other visualizations to convey complex data in support of criminal investigations.
- Assist with exploration, structuring, and analysis of unstructured and semi-structured data from SQL and data lake environments.
- Create programming and automation techniques to improve task efficiency in tools such as SharePoint, Python, and Power BI.
Requirements
- Master's degree, Ph.D., or equivalent doctoral-level degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Mathematics, or a related field; or 10+ years of equivalent applied experience.
- 5+ years of experience designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced AI systems and predictive machine learning models.
- 5+ years of experience developing statistical models, fraud analytics, regression, classification, clustering, and anomaly detection solutions.
- 3+ years of experience supporting fraud investigations, audits, or similar analytical programs.
- 3+ years of experience programming in Python, including Pandas.
- Experience working within cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
- 2+ years of advanced SQL experience, including SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
- 2+ years of experience developing and scaling Natural Language Processing (NLP) solutions.
- Experience presenting technical findings to both technical and executive audiences through reports, presentations, and data visualizations.
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI and other data visualization tools
- Microsoft Azure certifications are preferred.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and able to successfully complete a Public Trust background investigation.
Benefits & conditions
This is a 5.5-year remote in the US contract role. Must be available during normal business hours, Monday through Friday.
