Job description

We are seeking a skilled Workstation Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing advanced PC installation, support, and troubleshooting services for various office environments and field site locations. The successful candidate will work closely with existing IT team members to ensure robust technical support across the region.

You will provide Tier 2 support for hardware, software, and peripheral installations. This role requires a hands-on approach to configuring PC hardware, troubleshooting network connectivity, and managing technical assets. You will serve as a primary point of contact for workstation requests, ensuring that both network and stand-alone environments are functioning optimally., * Hardware & Software Installation: Deploy and configure computer systems, peripherals, and related software in accordance with established procedures and technical manuals.

  • Troubleshooting & Support: Respond to workstation-related issues both on-site and remotely. Provide PC-related support via in-person interactions, telephone, and email.
  • Network & Infrastructure: Install and troubleshoot network cabling (Cat5e/6) and terminations. Support telecommunications equipment, including VoIP, audio/video conference tools, and smartboards.
  • Asset Management: Ensure accurate inventory of equipment, track deployments, and utilize ticketing systems to document processes and resolve issues.
  • Mobile Device Support: Configure, issue, and troubleshoot mobile iOS devices and manage them via MDM consoles.
  • Technical Documentation: Create, update, and follow technical processes to drive efficiency and maintain high service standards.

Requirements

  • Travel: This position is 100% onsite. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and be willing and able to travel to various locations within the assigned region to support remote offices, stockpiles, and field sites. Use of a personal vehicle for travel and transporting computer equipment is required.
  • Technical Experience: Demonstrated experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting PC hardware/software in an enterprise LAN/WAN environment, as well as experience with laptops, docking stations, and multifunction print devices.
  • System Knowledge: Familiarity with ticketing systems, premise cabling, and standard enterprise IT practices.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to function effectively and maintain high performance in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • This position requires 100% onsite presence.
  • Candidates must be local to the area to be considered.

Required / Desired Skills

  • Experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting PC hardware/software in an enterprise LAN/WAN environment (Required 2 Years)
  • Experience installing and supporting laptops/docking stations. (Required 2 Years)
  • Experience installing and supporting multifunction print devices. (Required 2 Years)
  • Experience with Remedy or similar ticketing system. (Required 2 Years)
  • Experience with premise cabling (installing Cat5e/6 cable and terminations). (Required 2 Years)
  • Valid Driver's License. (Required 2 Years)
  • Ability and flexibility to travel toe areas outside of the designated region to other districts in PA to attend trainings, meetings, or assist other districts when required. (Required 2 Years)

  • Possess the following core competencies: continuous attention to detail, high performance in a fast-paced, multitasking environment (Required 2 Years)
  • Disciplined to follow established SOPs, and effective communication skills, both written and spoken, in the English language. (Required 2 Years)
