Job description
As a Workstation Specialist, you will be responsible for providing Tier 2 hardware and software support, as well as installation and troubleshooting services, across various office locations.
Your primary duties will include:
- Hardware & Software Support: Install, configure, and troubleshoot PC hardware, peripherals, and software in both network and stand-alone environments.
- Infrastructure Tasks: Perform cable runs and terminations (Cat5e/Cat6) and support telecommunication equipment, including VoIP sets and conferencing hardware.
- Systems Management: Utilize tools such as SCCM for imaging, monitoring, and compliance reporting; manage user accounts; and assign workstation names within Active Directory.
- Mobile Support: Configure, issue, and troubleshooting mobile devices, ensuring they are kept current with updates and policies.
- Inventory Management: Unpack, inventory, and track computer equipment using asset management systems.
- Documentation: Create and update technical process documentation to ensure efficiency and consistency.
Requirements
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Workstation Specialist to join our team for a contract engagement. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who excels in a fast-paced environment and possesses strong technical and customer service skills., * Experience: 2+ years of experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting PC hardware/software in an enterprise LAN/WAN environment, including laptops, docking stations, and multifunction printers.
- Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated ability with ticketing systems (such as Remedy), premise cabling, and diagnostic software.
- Professionalism: Strong communication and customer service skills, with a high level of attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Mobility: Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to use a personal vehicle for travel to various work sites to provide support and transport equipment.
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel to various sites, including occasional overnight travel for training or support as needed., * Experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting PC hardware/software in an enterprise LAN/WAN environment (Required 2 Years)
- Experience installing and supporting laptops/docking stations. (Required 2 Years)
- Experience installing and supporting multifunction print devices. (Required 2 Years)
- Experience with Remedy or similar ticketing system. (Required 2 Years)
- Experience with premise cabling (installing Cat5e/6 cable and terminations). (Required 2 Years)
- Valid Driver's License. (Required 2 Years)
- Ability and flexibility to travel toe areas outside of the designated region to other districts in PA to attend trainings, meetings, or assist other districts when required. (Required 2 Years)
- Meetings or assist other districts when required. (Required 2 Years)
- Possess the following core competencies: continuous attention to detail, high performance in a fast-paced, multitasking environment (Required 2 Years)
- Disciplined to follow established SOPs, and effective communication skills, both written and spoken, in the English language. (Required 2 Years)
- Experience with Cisco VPN router installation and support. (Desired 1 Years)
- Experience with Active Directory. (Desired 1 Years)
- Experience with Hyena System Management Software. (Desired 1 Years)
- Experience with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager. (Desired 1 Years)
- Experience creating process documentation (strong writing skills). (Desired 1 Years)
- Experience leading team deployments. (Desired 1 Years)
- Experience reading and interpreting architectural and electrical plan sets used for remodeling facilities and/or building new facilities. (Desired 1 Years)
