Air and Space Force Solutions, a business unit within BAE systems, has an opening at our Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska, location for a Test Engineer II. The selected candidate will join our Development Team and have an important role in supporting the development mission of strategic deterrence through continual improvement and innovation. This position supports the NC3 directorate. The position will have the following duties and responsibilities:
- Create and execute test plans and procedures for developmental, operational, and cybersecurity tests
- Conduct testing to validate system functionality, performance, and security
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of testing across multiple disciplines
- Serve as the primary test engineer for the organization, responsible for test planning, execution, and reporting
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand testing requirements and ensure test plans meet those needs
- Develop and maintain test documentation, including test plans, procedures, and reports
Requirements
- 7 years of directly related experience in testing, with a focus on creating test plans and procedures
- Strong understanding of testing principles and methodologies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders and priorities
- Active US DoD Secret Security Clearance granted within the last 5 years
- Must be a US Citizen, possess the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance
Due to its special-access, classified working environment, this position is only located at Offutt AFB, Nebraska, and may not always be conducive to telework schedules
- Cybersecurity knowledge and experience
- Experience with DoD/DoW Systems Engineering Lifecycle
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices
- Experience working with government agencies or in a defense industry
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronic engineering, aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, software engineering, or equivalent.
Benefits & conditions
Full-Time Salary Range: $107359 - $182510
