Job description

Carley provides products and services within the full spectrum of training system requirements, including new systems development as well as the maintenance of existing training systems. Our capabilities include training devices, electronic classrooms, SCORM-conformant self-paced training, instructor-led training, virtual simulations/virtual environments, and Virtual Reality-based training in support of technical and soft skills training. Carley Corporation is an ISO 9001:2015-certified business., Carley is seeking aIT Specialist to support CSFE in Port Hueneme, CA. This contract-contingent role requires daily onsite support, the ability to obtain and maintain required security credentials, including a CAC, up to 10% travel, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on limited occasions.

What You'll Do at Carley

  • Analyzing and refining system requirements
  • Translating system requirements into application prototypes
  • Planning/designing systems architecture
  • Writing, debugging, and maintaining code
  • Determining application architecture and output formats
  • Designing user interfaces
  • Testing applications with customers
  • Assuring software and system quality/functionality
  • Integrating hardware and software components
  • Maintaining program documentation
  • Evaluating new application software technologies
  • Applying information security/information assurance practices, * 5 years' experience or related experience in training development and computer systems and applications.
  • Analyze and refine systems requirements.
  • Plan and design systems architecture
  • Write, debug, and maintain code.
  • Determine and design applications architecture.
  • Determines output media/formats.
  • Work with customers to test applications.
  • Evaluate new applications software technologies.
  • Ensures the rigorous application of information security/ information assurance policies, principles, and practices to the delivery of application software services.

Requirements

  • Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or Navy programs
  • Experience supporting training, readiness, manpower, personnel, or operational analytics initiatives
  • Experience working with enterprise data systems, relational databases, or cloud-based analytics environments
  • Experience supporting predictive analytics, machine learning, or artificial intelligence initiatives
  • Experience developing executive-level dashboards and performance metrics
  • Familiarity with Navy training systems, CETARS, FLTMPS, or related Navy data environments
  • Experience supporting process improvement or data modernization initiatives, To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
