Job description

GDIT is looking for a ServiceNow Platform Engineer to maintain the development, test, and production ServiceNow environments as well as support ongoing operations and maintenance activities and projects for the USCENTCOM Information Technology Services (CITS) Program supporting the USCENTCOM J6 in Tampa, FL., + Lead the design and implementation of integrations with external systems using REST, SOAP, LDAP, SSO, and other protocols.

  • ITOM and ITAM Implementation: Configure and support ITOM and ITAM modules, including discovery, service mapping, asset management, and event management.

  • Develop and maintain service catalog items to include states, flows, and UI policies.

  • Monitor systems stability to prevent service degradation or interruption. Conduct risk assessments to identify potential gaps.

  • Develop dashboards, KPIs, and reports to provide visibility into portfolio performance, risks, and opportunities.

  • Support the configuration of workflows, business rules, UI policies, and client scripts.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

  • Participate in Scrum process, testing, debugging, and documentation of ServiceNow modules.

  • Experience with patching and maintaining ServiceNow system solutions in a Linux environment is a plus.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assist in delivering best practices for Enterprise to include ITIL, and Agile frameworks for delivering IT Services

  • Configure application related fields, forms, views, email notifications, acceptance roles and access control

  • Customize the core applications such as Incident, Problem, Change, Requests, Service Catalog while applying best practices.

  • Support end users to resolve support issues within ServiceNow

Requirements

Certifications:

ITIL 4 Foundation | PeopleCert - PeopleCert, Certified System Administrator (CSA) | ServiceNow - ServiceNow, CompTIA Security+ CE | CompTIA - CompTIA

Experience:

5 + years of related experience, + ITIL v4 Foundation Certification

  • Skilled in utilizing best practice ITIL engineering methods

  • Demonstrated knowledge of incident management, problem management, change management, Knowledge management as well as request fulfillment

  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow HTML, CSS, Angular JS, Jelly scripts and Restful API webservices.

  • Java script, html, or CSS experience

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

Education and Certifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree with a focus in computer science, information systems, or a related field of study and 5 years of experience

  • Possesses 1-3 years' experience implementing ServiceNow

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification is preferred and considered an asset for this role

  • Applicable DoD 8140 or DoD 8570 Certification

Clearance Requirement:

  • Active Secret Clearance required.

  • Potential for hybrid per customer approval.

The likely salary range for this position is $144,500 - $195,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
