Network Engineer - INTL India

We are looking for 2 Network Engineers to join a customer's Global Network Center of Excellence organization. This role is tied to a major initiative to improve their security posture and be prepared for the agentic frontier. Strength in network switching and routing, and firewalls, are important. (Preferably security focus in Palo Alto and Fortinet). These Engineers will be covering APAC and first part of EMEA business hours and responsible for the following;

Global Network Operations:

• Support, maintain and solution network global infrastructure (Data, Security) as part of the global network operations team
• Troubleshoot complex network (LAN, WAN, DNS, etc.) and firewall-related issues.
• Acts as primary point of escalation and subject matter expert for network operations in assigned region.
• Provide technical leadership and expertise to the global operations team.
• Proactively pinpoint and eliminate network performance bottlenecks impacting business workloads and steadily improve network uptime.
• Proactively work to enhance network security and participate as needed in security incident response efforts as a network SME.
• Continuous improvements - participates in Problem Management, post-mortems, root cause analysis and accelerate/advance the resolution of incidents impacting critical production environments & prolonging escalations.

Global Network Solutions, Implementation and Technology:

• Contribute in exciting global projects - site buildouts, new acquisitions, new technology deployments, technology refreshes, network security enhancements, etc.
• Acts as primary engineer for M&A implementation and tech refresh activities in assigned region (some travel required)
• Potentially assist with business engagement/stakeholder communications for new deployments or continuous improvement initiatives. Candidate needs to be comfortable with collaborating closely with business stakeholders.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekend and holiday coverage for any operational or project needs.
• Travel as needed to support deployment activities throughout the region., The preference is to sit onsite (or hybrid 3days/week) in Gurugram. Individuals can also sit hybrid out of any of their other locations in Bangalore, Kolkata, or Hyderabad. This position will be starting ASAP, but at least before August 3rd., + Advanced Cisco certifications and/or security specialization

5+ years of hands-on network switching and routing, and firewalls experience

• Strong experience with Cisco Routing/Switches (Catalyst and Nexus platforms)
• Cisco Wireless experience
• Strong security focus - preferably Palo Alto Network firewalls and/or Fortinet firewalls
• Cisco certification (preferably CCNP)
