Insight Global is searching for a Security Engineer II for one of our largest retail clients who will be responsible for strengthening and protecting the organization's cybersecurity posture across endpoints, cloud environments, mobile devices, and enterprise security platforms. This role leads the design, implementation, and optimization of security technologies, drives security automation and threat detection initiatives, and serves as a subject matter expert for cybersecurity operations and architecture.
Day to Day/Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies, standards, and best practices aligned with industry frameworks.
- Lead the deployment and lifecycle management of security solutions, ensuring proper design, integration, configuration, and validation.
- Enhance security posture through endpoint, cloud, mobile, and identity security controls.
- Drive threat detection, incident response, security monitoring, and automation initiatives.
- Partner with IT, architecture, and governance teams to design and implement secure enterprise solutions.
- Conduct security assessments and recommend technical, administrative, and operational controls to mitigate risk.
- Provide Tier 3 support and root cause analysis for security-related incidents and technologies.
- Evaluate emerging threats, technologies, and vendors to inform security roadmap and investment decisions.
Requirements
Must Haves:
- 7+ years of cybersecurity or information security experience, including experience in large enterprise environments.
- Strong expertise with security technologies including:
- EDR/XDR/MDR
- SIEM and log management
- Endpoint and mobile security
- Cloud security platforms
- Threat detection and incident response
- Vulnerability management
- Security automation and orchestration
- Solid understanding of current cyber threats, attack vectors, and defense methodologies.
- Experience designing and implementing enterprise security solutions.
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of experience and industry certifications.
