Job description
We are seeking a Chief Transformation Officer to lead one of the most significant operating model changes in our company's history. Reporting to the CEO, you will own end-to-end delivery of a multiwave enterprise transformation that modernizes our service delivery model, technology foundation, and corporate operations - while preserving day-to-day performance and our differentiated physician partnership model. This is a high-visibility, mission-critical role for a seasoned transformation leader who operates as a decision-maker, not a coordinator - comfortable making cross-functional tradeoffs in real time, controlling the pace of change, and holding peers accountable to outcomes across matrixed teams.
What You'll Do
- Own end-to-end delivery of a multi-wave enterprise transformation, partnering with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team.
- Stand up and lead the Transformation Management Office (TMO) - governance, planning, change management, value realization, and risk.
- Make the calls - resolve cross-functional tradeoffs, control sequencing, and intervene quickly when execution drifts.
- Inventory, rationalize, and integrate existing in-flight initiatives into a unified program view.
- Lead the selection and stand-up of strategic vendor partnerships that accelerate modernization and unlock scale.
- Stand up Shared Service Centers and Centers of Excellence across Finance, HR, Supply Chain, RCM, and other corporate functions.
- Orchestrate delivery across five workstreams: Shared Services, Enterprise Capabilities, Core Platforms & Data, Technology & Digital Enablement, and Revenue Growth Value Streams.
- Sponsor physician partner and facility-level communications, including market roadshows and feedback loops.
- Translate direction into executable plans and synthesize progress into clear, actionable updates for leadership.
Requirements
- Significant senior leadership experience, with deep tenure in enterprise transformation, operating model redesign, or large-scale program leadership.
- Demonstrated track record delivering transformations at scale in complex, multi-site organizations.
- Direct experience leading or overseeing ERP implementations (Workday, Oracle Cloud, SAP S/4HANA, or equivalent).
- Experience structuring and managing strategic vendor partnerships across technology and services.
- Proven success standing up Shared Service Centers and Centers of Excellence.
- Experience inheriting and rationalizing a portfolio of in-flight initiatives within a larger transformation.
- Proven ability to lead through matrixed and dotted-line accountability structures.
- Strong financial acumen, executive presence, and ability to navigate ambiguity and complexity.
- A decision-driven leadership posture - empowered to act, comfortable holding peers accountable, and biased toward outcomes over activities.
- Healthcare services experience strongly preferred; experience with physician-partnered operating models a significant plus.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree strongly preferred.
Benefits & conditions
- Mandate, sponsorship, and resources to execute one of the largest transformations in the surgical services industry.
- Opportunity to shape the long-term operating model of a leading national platform.
- Highly competitive executive compensation package, including base, bonus, and equity.
