Job description

A rapidly growing home services firm is looking to hire a Data Analyst in northern Phoenix. As we continue to expand, we're looking for an Analytics Engineer to join our team and help transform data into actionable insights that drive operational excellence and strategic decision-making.

This role sits at the intersection of data engineering, business intelligence, and strategy, making it an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys building scalable data solutions while partnering with business leaders to drive impact.

What You'll Do

  • Manage and optimize AXN's data ecosystem, including Databricks and supporting data pipelines
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT workflows that power analytics across the organization
  • Monitor data quality, reliability, and system performance while proactively resolving issues
  • Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and metadata to support governance and collaboration
  • Partner with stakeholders to translate business requirements into analytical and technical solutions
  • Create impactful dashboards and visualizations using Power BI and other reporting tools
  • Deliver timely, accurate analysis and support ad hoc reporting requests
  • Champion data literacy and help establish trust in the organization's data assets

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in Analytics Engineering, Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience with dbt Core is a plus
  • Advanced SQL skills with expertise in data transformation and optimization
  • Experience with Python or similar languages such as R or Scala
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or similar cloud data platforms
  • Experience developing dashboards and reports with Power BI or Tableau
  • Strong understanding of dimensional modeling, star schemas, and data warehousing concepts
  • Familiarity with Git and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
