Job description
As a Senior Consultant at Deloitte, you will work within an engagement team and be responsible for supporting the overall project goals and objectives. In this role, you will interact with stakeholders and cross-functional teams. It is expected that you will be able to perform independent tasks as well as provide technical guidance to team members, as needed.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Lead the provisioning and management of data infrastructure using Terraform, ensuring environment consistency across dev, staging, and production.
- Security: Work within, and help establish, security guidelines pertaining to networking, engineering, and IAM
- Container Orchestration: Manage and optimize GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine) clusters used for data processing workloads and microservices.
- Pipeline Automation: Develop and maintain robust shell scripts and Python-based automation to streamline data ingestion, environment setup, and incident recovery.
- Real-Time Ingestion: Use real-time streaming methodologies to build and maintain data ingestion flow leveraging DataStream, microservices, and other similar technologies.
- GCP Ecosystem Management: Configure and optimize GCP native resources including Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, and Cloud Composer (Airflow).
- Monitoring & Observability: Implement comprehensive logging and alerting frameworks to maintain platform system uptime.
- Collaboration: Partner with Data Engineers, Architects, and Security teams to ensure data platforms align with AEO's governance and compliance standards.
- Engage directly with business stakeholders and technology leadership to align delivery priorities and effort estimates

Requirements
Are you an experienced, passionate pioneer in technology who wants to work in a collaborative environment? As an experienced DevOps Engineer you will have the ability to share new ideas and collaborate on projects as a consultant without the extensive demands of travel. The Project Talent Model (PTM) is designed for professionals with specialized skills that align to a current client need. - 7+ years in Data Engineering or DevOps, with at least 2 years in technical lead capacity.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD principles, version control (Git), deployment automation (Bamboo/Jenkins), and automated testing within data workflows.
- Experience with GCP native resources (BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Composer, DataFusion).
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
- Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
Preferred
- Analytical ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks into manageable work products
- Can operate independently or with minimum supervision
- Excellent Written and Communication Skills
- Ability to deliver technical demonstrations
For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York , Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to New York and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.A reasonable estimate of the current range is $115,000 to $145,000.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
