Job description

  • Design, configure and maintain LAN/WAN and security infrastructures (Cisco, Juniper, virtual networks).
  • Install, integrate, further develop and configure software and hardware solutions, including Red Hat-based Linux systems and embedded Linux systems.
  • Integrate, configure and maintain Voice-over-IP (VoIP) systems and applications.
  • Provide project support throughout all phases - design, implementation and acceptance.
  • Perform on-site integration of network and IT solutions at client premises.
  • Resolve complex network, connectivity and integration issues in production and laboratory environments.
  • Implement redundancy, routing and monitoring solutions (Zabbix, Infosim StableNet).
  • Collaborate closely with systems and security engineers to ensure seamless integration.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering or related field.
  • At least 3 years of practical experience in network or security engineering.
  • In-depth knowledge of network routing, switching, VLANs, BGP, OSPF, VPNs and firewall technologies. CCNP/JNCIP certification or equivalent knowledge is an advantage.
  • Strong Linux system skills: scripting, automation, containers, orchestration, networking and security. Red Hat/Linux certifications are an advantage.
  • Experience with monitoring tools and configuration management.
  • Strong analytical mindset, documentation skills and team spirit.
  • Very good command of English. German and additional languages are an advantage.
  • Travel required 30 %.

Benefits & conditions

Remuneration consists of a collective agreement minimum salary of EUR 46,200 gross per year (based on a 38.5-hour week) plus market-aligned overpayment based on professional qualifications and experience.
