Job description
As a Data Engineer, you'll play a key role in delivering data-driven solutions that accelerate the energy transition. Working with utilities, renewable energy providers, and industrial clients, you'll design and build modern data platforms that transform operational, sensor, and business data into actionable insights., * Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, transform, and deliver data across modern cloud platforms.
- Build and optimise data lakes, data warehouses, and lakehouse architectures using technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, or BigQuery.
- Develop reliable data integration solutions connecting APIs, databases, SaaS platforms, and streaming data sources.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and client stakeholders to deliver high-quality data products and analytics solutions.
- Implement data quality, governance, monitoring, and orchestration best practices using modern engineering tools.
- Contribute to cloud-native infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and DevOps practices.
- Support machine learning and AI initiatives by developing scalable feature pipelines and production-ready data infrastructure.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and help clients adopt modern data engineering best practices.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, Data Platform Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong Python and SQL development skills.
- Experience building production ETL/ELT pipelines using tools such as dbt, Apache Airflow, Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, or similar.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Knowledge of distributed data processing technologies such as Apache Spark and Databricks.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, data modelling, and data warehouse design.
- Familiarity with containerisation, CI/CD, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes is an advantage.
- Experience supporting analytics, business intelligence, or machine learning workloads is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with clients in a consultancy environment.
