Job description

As Lead IT Specialist, you act as the primary onsite IT contact, ensuring high-quality IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and physical security services. You provide technical leadership, oversee site IT operations, and drive digital innovation supporting operational excellence. You collaborate with local and global stakeholders and manage specialized environments including laboratories and R&D systems. How You'll Make An Impact

  • Deliver and manage IT infrastructure and cybersecurity services
  • Act as the primary IT contact on site, ensuring reliable operations
  • Lead and support global IT projects and digital transformation initiatives
  • Maintain and enhance systems supporting labs, clean rooms, and R&D
  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity and IT/OT standards
  • Troubleshoot complex issues and implement scalable solutions
  • Collaborate with global stakeholders and service providers
  • Mentor users and provide training to enhance digital capabilities, This role is based on-site in Wessling, Munich, supporting advanced laboratory and R&D environments. Work may include use of specialized equipment, collaboration across global teams, and adherence to strict safety and security protocols.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, site support, or cybersecurity
  • Strong knowledge of networking, servers, storage, and cloud technologies
  • Experience with Microsoft environments and enterprise systems
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and compliance standards
  • Proven ability to manage complex IT projects and deliver solutions
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Fluency in English and German

Preferred Qualifications That Drive You Forward

  • Certifications such as Cisco, Microsoft, VMware, or cybersecurity credentials
  • Experience with IT/OT integration environments
  • Knowledge of automation platforms like PowerApps or Power Automate
  • Experience working in controlled or validated environments
