At Nuvolar, we are looking for a QA Engineer to join one of our healthcare projects, working on digital products that support clinical workflows and complex healthcare solutions.
You will become part of engineering teams working on cloud-based products involving backend services, APIs, integrations, and end-to-end workflows. You will contribute to QA activities throughout the software lifecycle, combining functional testing, automation, and collaboration with developers and product teams to deliver reliable software.
This role is a great opportunity for a QA Engineer who enjoys understanding products, designing meaningful test scenarios, identifying risks, and contributing to the continuous improvement of QA practices, including automation and AI-assisted testing approaches., * Execute QA activities across healthcare software products, ensuring new features and implementations meet quality standards.
- Understand product requirements and workflows to translate them into effective test scenarios.
- Design, maintain, and execute test plans covering functional testing, regression testing, exploratory testing, integration testing, and end-to-end workflows.
- Perform backend and API testing using tools such as Postman, OpenAPI/Swagger, or similar technologies.
- Validate REST APIs, integrations, data flows, error handling, and expected system behaviour.
- Contribute to test automation initiatives by creating, maintaining, and improving automated test cases.
- Collaborate closely with developers, Product Owners, QA engineers, and technical stakeholders to identify risks and improve product quality.
- Analyse defects, define clear reproduction steps, and support teams in understanding the impact and priority of issues.
- Support release validation activities, ensuring critical workflows are properly tested before delivery.
- Use AI-assisted tools to improve testing activities, including test design, automation, debugging, documentation, and productivity.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA practices, automation coverage, and testing processes within the team., A first conversation with one of our engineering team members to introduce the project, explain the role in detail, and answer your initial questions about the opportunity.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Software QA Engineer working on software products, ideally in complex or integration-heavy environments.

Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test design techniques, regression testing, exploratory testing, integration testing, and defect management.

Experience testing backend services and REST APIs.

Experience using API testing tools such as Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, or similar.

Previous exposure to test automation, with experience creating, maintaining, or improving automated test cases.

Practical experience or strong interest in automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar technologies.

Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into meaningful testing scenarios.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and collaborating closely with developers, QA engineers, and Product Owners.

Knowledge of cloud environments, ideally AWS, with a practical understanding of services such as DynamoDB, SQS/SNS, and Secrets Manager.

Experience working with GitHub and CI/CD workflows, ideally GitHub Actions.

AI literacy, including familiarity with AI-assisted tools, AI agents, or practical use of AI to improve QA activities, test design, automation, debugging, or documentation.

Ability to communicate clearly in technical discussions and collaborate effectively with different stakeholders.

Professional level of English, both written and spoken.
