Cloud Architect - The Netherlands

The Cloud Architect is responsible for defining, designing, guiding, and overseeing the delivery of scalable, secure, and high-quality end-to-end solutions within cloud and data-driven environments. The role ensures that solutions are robust, scalable, secure, and future-proof, while balancing business, functional, non-functional, and technical requirements.

This role acts as a key advisor to business stakeholders, enterprise architects, and delivery teams, translating complex requirements into clear architectural designs and ensuring consistent implementation across projects and platforms., * Define and design end-to-end solution architectures based on business, information, application, and technical requirements

• Translate business and functional requirements into robust technical designs
• Define, document, and maintain architecture deliverables
• Support and guide development teams in implementing architecture and applying best practices
• Collaborate with enterprise architects, domain architects, and technical teams to ensure coherence
• Ensure quality, security, scalability, performance, availability, and maintainability are met
• Identify and mitigate architectural risks and provide expert-level guidance on complex technical challenges
• Stay up to date with technological developments and translate them into actionable architectural improvements
• Experience with IoT platforms, AI-driven solutions, or data-intensive architectures is considered a plus

• Completed bachelor's degree or master's degree in a relevant field
• Fluent in English and Dutch
• Cloud platforms: Azure (AWS / Google Cloud Platform (GCP) can be considered as a plus)
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Bicep
• Containers & orchestration: Docker (Kubernetes is considered a plus)
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and distributed systems
• Knowledge of modern architecture patterns
• Ability to design across both backend and frontend system landscapes at architectural level
