Candidates will be fully qualified in electrical or mechanical engineering, ideally through apprenticeship, and have at least three years experience working as a Supervisor/M&E Manager role within a similar critical environment. This can include data centres, financial accounts, healthcare, etc. Along with core engineering qualifications, our client is looking for an experienced High Voltage Switching engineer with experience holding AP or SAP titles. Additional training such as 2391, F-Gas, or data centre specific training such as CDCTP will be useful.

Candidates will have experience managing the following plant and systems: Electrical Fault-Finding, Single & Three Phase Power, Motors, Pumps, LV & HV distribution (Switching, Writing Schedules & Permits), Diesel Generators, UPS Systems, CRAC & Down Flow units, Water Chillers, VESDA, Fire Alarms, Sprinkler Systems, BMS & SCADA Systems, etc.

This is a high-profile and brand new data centre with state of the art equipment for an enthusiastic and technically minded DC Operations Manager / Supervisor to join. There will be HV Switching almost daily around critical events and maintenance schedules along with writing a vast number of SOP/EOPs - to give an idea of scale, this site has 20 x 1.6MW chillers. Alongside technical aspects of the role this position will work in tandem with the Account & Technical Manager, allowing involvement with P&L / future project works, regular meetings with client team, man management of shift & day engineering teams as well as organising specialist sub-contractor labour.

A fantastic opportunity for an existing Data Centre Operations Manager, or potentially for a Site Supervisor/Manager with ambition looking to make the next step up. With the nature of the new build, growing account, this will suit an ambitious and motivated individual looking to progress their career and gain experience working at a larger site, with the chance to be involved with commissioning & handover of the future campus DCS also. With a healthy salary/package, and chances for both annual bonus & progression across future campus roles, this is one of the highest profile data centre developments in the South East and a chance not to be missed.
