Job description

  • We will design and govern enterprise infrastructure across on-prem data centres and AWS cloud.
  • We will ensure scalability, resilience, security, and performance optimization across compute, storage, and network layers.
  • We will support hybrid transformation by integrating legacy systems with cloud-native architectures.

Requirements

  • We need experience designing and governing enterprise infrastructure across on-prem data centres and AWS cloud.
  • We need strong knowledge of on-prem infrastructure, including AIX, Linux (RHEL), Windows, VMware (ESXi, vCenter), SAN/NAS, backup solutions, Cisco routing and switching, and load balancers such as NetScaler.
  • We need experience with AWS core services including EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, and IAM.
  • We need experience with AWS networking and security, including Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, IAM, WAF, and Shield.
  • We need experience designing high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
  • We need experience with hybrid architecture, including site-to-site VPN, Direct Connect, multi-data-centre and cloud DR strategy, data migration, and modernization.
  • We need DevOps and automation experience, including Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or CloudFormation, scripting with Python or Bash, CI/CD with Jenkins or Git pipelines, and containers such as Docker and Kubernetes, with EKS preferred.
  • We need monitoring and observability experience with CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, and enterprise tools such as Dynatrace or AppDynamics.
  • We need experience in security, compliance, operations, governance, stakeholder engagement, and delivery leadership.

Benefits & conditions

We are hiring an Infrastructure Architect for a hybrid role based in Warwick, with one day working from the office each week. This is a 3-month contract with the possibility of extension to 1 year or more, offered at a rate of £375 per day inside IR35. The role sits at the centre of our hybrid transformation programme, where we are integrating legacy systems with cloud-native architectures across our enterprise infrastructure.
