Job description

  • We manage the IT support mailbox, keeping it up to date and tidy
  • We respond to support emails using standard templates where appropriate
  • We gather information for tickets that need to be escalated
  • We provide desktop support for Windows and Mac users
  • We support Microsoft 365 services, including Admin, Exchange, Entra, and Intune
  • We create and maintain users and groups in Microsoft 365 and seek approval when required
  • We maintain on-premises Active Directory
  • We troubleshoot email issues through Mimecast and Exchange 365
  • We ensure newly built laptops are connected to Intune
  • We support company applications and systems, including Deskbird, KnowBe4, Sophos, Synology, Microsoft Dynamics, Ubiquiti, Meraki, and CodeTwo
  • We liaise with Engineering and other internal teams when support overlaps
  • We manage starters and leavers in line with documented processes
  • We maintain IT documentation and keep user guides up to date
  • We maintain the distribution lists spreadsheet as groups are created or deleted
  • We help keep the Microsoft 365 environment organised and consistent
  • We support the team with documentation, organisation, and communication needs
  • We keep printer toner in stock and replace it as needed
  • We order new licences as required, including Adobe and Microsoft 365

  • Security, We are recruiting for an Email & App Support role on a 12-month fixed-term contract based in Hemel Hempstead, with a salary of £30,000 to £35,000. This role is a desktop support-focused position with broad exposure across Microsoft 365, endpoint support, office applications, and internal IT operations, supporting both our UK office and remote offices around the world.

Requirements

  • Experience supporting Windows 11, 10, and 7 end users
  • Experience supporting Mac OS
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Admin, Exchange, Entra, and Intune
  • Experience managing user and group creation in Microsoft 365
  • Experience maintaining on-premises Active Directory
  • Ability to troubleshoot email issues in Mimecast and Exchange 365
  • Experience supporting laptops and ensuring devices are enrolled in Intune
  • Ability to support a range of business applications and systems
  • Strong inbox management and ticket triage skills
  • Experience gathering information for escalations and liaising with technical teams
  • Experience managing starters and leavers processes
  • Strong documentation and organisation skills
  • Ability to maintain user guides, spreadsheets, and IT records
  • Good communication skills and a proactive approach to support
  • Willingness to be physically present in the office when needed
  • Ability to support remote offices across different locations
