Job description

As a Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the development of new products and the ongoing improvement of existing machinery. Working within a collaborative engineering environment, you will be responsible for producing detailed 3D designs, manufacturing drawings, and Bills of Materials while ensuring products meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and safety., * Creating detailed 3D CAD models, manufacturing drawings, and BOMs.

  • Developing innovative design solutions for new and existing products.
  • Supporting root cause investigations and engineering improvements.
  • Working closely with manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and service teams.
  • Ensuring designs meet engineering standards and customer requirements.
  • Driving product optimisation, cost reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Supporting prototype builds, testing, and validation activities.

Requirements

  • Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related Engineering discipline.
  • Experience using 3D CAD software such as Creo, SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar.
  • Knowledge of Product Data Management (PDM) systems.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
  • Experience producing manufacturing drawings and BOMs.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • A proactive and innovative approach to engineering design. Experience within heavy equipment, mobile machinery, materials processing, crushing, screening, or manufacturing environments would be highly advantageous.
