Job description
The Microsoft 365 Collaboration Administrator is responsible for the administration, governance, security, and continuous improvement of Microsoft's collaboration and productivity platforms, including SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive for Business, Microsoft Viva, Power Platform, and Microsoft Copilot. This role ensures collaboration services remain secure, compliant, user-friendly, and aligned with business and operational requirements.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise in Microsoft 365 collaboration technologies with a passion for user enablement, automation, and digital transformation. Working closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and end users, this individual will play a key role in driving adoption, improving information governance, enhancing productivity, and supporting the organization's AI-enabled workplace initiatives., * Administer and support SharePoint Online, including site collections, permissions, document libraries, lists, content management, and collaboration workspaces.
- Administer and support Microsoft Teams, including team and channel management, governance, and collaboration capabilities.
- Support the rollout, administration, and ongoing adoption of Microsoft 365 Copilot and AI-powered productivity features.
- Support and enhance Power Automate workflows and Power Apps solutions.
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 collaboration services, including OneDrive for Business and Microsoft Viva.
- Support governance, retention, compliance, and information management processes across Microsoft 365 platforms.
- Manage permissions and access controls in accordance with organizational security and compliance requirements.
- Utilize PowerShell to automate administration, generate reports, and improve operational efficiency across Microsoft 365 services.
- Provide technical support for Microsoft 365 collaboration technologies and end-user issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Viva, Power Platform, and Copilot.
- Support migrations from file shares and legacy collaboration platforms into Microsoft 365 using approved migration tools and methodologies.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, knowledge base articles, training materials, and operational procedures.
- Deliver user training and promote adoption of Microsoft 365 collaboration tools and best practices.
- Monitor platform health, recommend service improvements, and support continuous service enhancement initiatives.
- Stay current with Microsoft 365 roadmap changes, emerging features, and industry best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field required; equivalent combination of professional experience and certifications may be considered.
- 3-4+ years of experience supporting Microsoft 365 collaboration technologies.
- Experience supporting enterprise collaboration and productivity platforms in a business environment.
- Must be a UK National and eligible to obtain and maintain BPSS Clearance.
Microsoft 365 Collaboration Expertise:
- Hands-on experience supporting SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and OneDrive for Business.
- Working knowledge of Power Automate and Power Apps.
- Experience managing permissions, access controls, governance, and information management within Microsoft 365 environments.
- Experience troubleshooting and supporting Microsoft 365 collaboration services and end users.
- Experience utilizing PowerShell for administration, reporting, and automation activities.
- Understanding of Microsoft 365 security, compliance, and governance best practices.

- Hands-on experience using PowerShell to automate and administer Microsoft 365 environments.
- Experience supporting the implementation, administration, and adoption of Microsoft 365 Copilot.
- Experience with ShareGate, Quest, or similar Microsoft 365 migration tools.
- Microsoft certifications related to SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, Power Platform, Microsoft 365 Administration, or Copilot technologies.
- Experience working in a regulated, highly secure, or compliance-driven environment.
