Enterprise/Solution Architect - Investment Management - Middle Office Transformation Programme

We are looking for a highly experienced Enterprise/Solution Architect to define and govern the technology architecture across a major Middle Office Transformation Programme.

This individual will provide architectural leadership across the programme, ensuring that business objectives, technology solutions and data architecture align with the target operating model.

The programme spans investment operations, enterprise data platforms, market data, portfolio management systems, reporting, integrations and cloud technologies.

This role will work across multiple delivery teams and vendors, providing technical direction throughout the programme life cycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the end to end technology architecture for the Middle Office Transformation Programme.
• Define the target architecture across applications, integrations, data and cloud platforms.
• Produce solution architectures for major workstreams and initiatives.
• Ensure consistency across technology designs delivered by multiple project teams.
• Review and approve solution designs, integration patterns and technical standards.
• Lead architecture governance and design authority.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to translate business capability into technology solutions.
• Define integration architecture across BNY, Bloomberg, Charles River, Eagle, Databricks, Power BI and associated investment platforms.
• Provide architectural guidance for API strategy, data ingestion, ETL processes and enterprise data management.
• Support data architecture including data modelling, governance and lineage.
• Ensure solutions meet security, scalability, resilience and operational support requirements.
• Collaborate with programme management to identify architectural risks and technical dependencies.
• Mentor development teams and technical leads throughout delivery.

Required Experience

• Extensive Enterprise or Solution Architecture experience within Asset or Investment Management.
• Strong knowledge of investment operations and Middle Office platforms.

Experience designing enterprise architecture involving:

• BNY investment platforms
• Charles River
• Bloomberg
• Eagle
• Enterprise Data Platforms
• Databricks
• Snowflake
• API architectures
• ETL and integration technologies
• Power BI and enterprise reporting
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture and modern data platforms.
• Experience with enterprise integration, messaging and API driven architectures.
• Knowledge of investment data domains including holdings, positions, securities, pricing, transactions and performance.
• Experience producing architecture artefacts, roadmaps and technical governance documentation.

Desirable

• TOGAF certification.
• Experience with Azure cloud technologies.
• Experience implementing enterprise data governance and data quality frameworks.
