Job description

  • Execute manual testing for new features, enhancements, and product releases

  • Develop and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and testing documentation

  • Identify, document, and track software defects while working closely with engineering teams to resolve issues

  • Perform functional, regression, smoke, integration, and user acceptance testing across multiple platforms

  • Validate web, mobile, and API functionality to ensure products meet business and technical requirements

  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, and UX Designers throughout the software development lifecycle

  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release readiness activities within an Agile environment

  • Assist with automated testing initiatives and continuous quality improvement efforts

  • Verify bug fixes and ensure production releases meet quality standards before deployment

  • Help improve QA processes, testing strategies, and best practices across the engineering organization

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or QA Testing

  • Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium or Cypress

  • Experience performing manual testing across web and mobile applications

  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and Agile development environments

  • Experience writing detailed test plans, test cases, and bug reports

  • Experience using defect tracking and project management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps

  • Strong knowledge of functional, regression, smoke, integration, and user acceptance testing

  • Experience working closely with Product Managers, Developers, and UX teams throughout the development lifecycle

  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Experience testing responsive web applications and mobile applications

  • Familiarity with API testing using Postman or similar tools

  • Basic knowledge of SQL for backend data validation

  • Experience working within CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows

  • Strong communication and documentation skills

  • Passion for delivering high-quality user experiences and continuous improvement

  • Experience in education technology, publishing, or SaaS environments is a plus, Applicants must be authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis now and in the future.
