This role focuses on designing and developing electronic hardware and assemblies for advanced space-based and ground-based instrumentation. You will work across the full lifecycle of electrical systems, from concept and design through testing, verification, and validation, contributing to innovative technologies used in challenging orbital environments., * Design and develop electronic hardware and assemblies for complex aerospace and remote sensing applications.
- Perform electrical testing, including functional tests, performance evaluations, and reliability checks on hardware and assemblies.
- Debug and troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems to identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions.
- Collaborate closely with PCB layout engineers to ensure optimal board design, component placement, and signal integrity.
- Create and refine wire harness designs that meet electrical, mechanical, and environmental requirements for flight and ground systems.
- Conduct verification and validation activities to confirm that hardware meets design specifications, flight hardware handling requirements, and mission performance criteria.
- Apply electrical engineering principles to ensure compliance with relevant standards, procedures, and best practices for aerospace hardware.
- Support integration of sensors and instrumentation into spacecraft and related systems, ensuring proper electrical interfaces and compatibility.
- Document designs, test procedures, test results, and troubleshooting findings in a clear and traceable manner.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in engineering, manufacturing, and operations to support hardware build, integration, and deployment.

- Demonstrated ability to debug and troubleshoot complex electrical and electronic systems.
- Experience interfacing with PCB layout, including understanding of board design constraints and signal integrity considerations.
- Ability to design wire harnesses that meet electrical, mechanical, and environmental requirements.
- Experience with verification and validation of electronic hardware to ensure compliance with specifications and requirements.
- Experience working with flight hardware handling requirements, including adherence to procedures and controls appropriate for aerospace hardware.
- Aerospace experience preferred, particularly in environments involving small satellites, CubeSats, or similar space systems., * Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with hardware development for remote sensing, instrumentation, or other high-reliability applications.
- Comfort working in multidisciplinary teams that include mechanical, systems, and manufacturing engineers.
- Strong documentation and communication skills for design records, test reports, and technical collaboration.

The role is based in a combined office and manufacturing environment that supports the full lifecycle of advanced aerospace hardware. You will spend time in engineering offices performing design work and analysis, as well as in manufacturing and lab areas conducting hardware builds, testing, verification, and validation activities. The setting includes access to test equipment and tools appropriate for electrical hardware development and flight hardware handling. Typical professional attire is suitable for office work, with appropriate additional protective or lab-appropriate clothing used as required when working in manufacturing or test areas.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Louisville, CO. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $74.52/hr.
