Job description
- Low Voltage Field Technician - Traveling
- Travel nationwide estimated 2 weeks, and off 5 consecutive days
- Install, test, and repair a variety of CCTV systems. Installing access control and security systems to meet customer requirements.
- Effectively communicates and assists clients regarding any technical issues.
- Ability to read basic blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation procedure.
- Interpret manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams and repair equipment, utilizing knowledge of electronics and using standard test instruments and hand tools.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software, analyze performance, and identify malfunctions.
- Complete all documents pertaining to service performed.
- Support offices by phone and chat.
- Assist in special projects, as needed.
- Maintain a technical knowledge of product(s) supported by SIG Systems, Inc.
II. EXPECTATIONS OF EMPLOYEE: * Low voltage knowledge.
- Install, test, and repair a variety of CCTV systems nationwide. Installing access control and security systems to meet customer requirements.
- Effectively communicates and assists clients regarding any technical issues
- Maintains up-to-date working knowledge of procedures, protocols, policies for all departments, and SIG Systems, Inc. employee handbook.
- Adhere to company dress code.
- Maintains up to the minute, detailed, and accurate logs.
- Ability to work independently or in a team.
- Demonstrates ability to set up, maintain, and troubleshot computer hardware, networks, and systems.
- Demonstrates organization, prioritization, decision making, and analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Maintain a good driving record.
Requirements
- The ideal candidate will have experience installing and/or servicing CCTV, access control, and security systems in private and/or commercial buildings.
- You will be able to work with open and closed circuits and understand voltages. The position is responsible for installation, servicing, and preventative maintenance activities. ·

- Two years' experience with low voltage, installing and/or servicing access control, surveillance equipment, including CCTV cameras and monitors, and listening devices, A PLUS ·
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. ·
- Vocational/Technical Degree in electronics, security, or computer systems is a plus. ·
- IP Video and IT experience are a plus. ·
- Associates degree preferred. ·
- Exceptional multitasking abilities. ·
- Some tools are to be furnished by Tech, other Tools will be furnished by SIG.
- Must have a Valid Driver's License. ·
- Must be able to pass background check., * Low voltage and CCTV installation: 1 year (Required)
