Job description
The Managed IT Services Engineer is a full-time, on-site role responsible for providing exceptional technical support and customer service to a diverse client base. Acting as a core technical resource, this engineer troubleshoots and resolves issues across desktop, server, cloud, networking, and cybersecurity environments.
The position demands a fast-paced, multi-client focus-ideally suited for an individual with prior Managed Service Provider (MSP) experience who can seamlessly switch between routine ticket management, infrastructure deployments, and critical security initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Technical Support: Provide exceptional technical support and customer service to clients across multiple industries.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex desktop, server, cloud, networking, and cybersecurity issues.
Server & Cloud Administration: Deploy, manage, and support Windows Server environments and Microsoft 365 tenants.
Identity & Cloud Access: Configure and support Microsoft Entra ID, Azure services, and cloud-based solutions.
Network Infrastructure: Install, configure, and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including switches, wireless solutions, and firewalls.
Platform Maintenance: Support and maintain Ubiquiti and other business-class networking platforms.
MSP Tooling: Utilize N-able and ConnectWise for system monitoring, documentation, ticket management, and automation.
Project Support: Participate actively in client onboarding projects, technology upgrades, migrations, and cybersecurity initiatives.
Process Improvement: Contribute to documentation, standardization, and continuous improvement efforts.
Deployment Assistance: Occasionally assist with network deployments and infrastructure installations when needed.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Requirements

MSP Environment Experience: Prior experience specifically working within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment is highly preferred to handle the fast-paced, multi-client nature of the role.

Fortinet Products (Strong Plus): Hands-on experience with Fortinet systems, including FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiAP, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer.

Technical Certifications: Relevant industry certifications from Microsoft, Fortinet, CompTIA, or Ubiquiti.

Infrastructure Deployment: Experience with physical network deployments and infrastructure installations.
Education: High School
Experience: 1-4 years
Qualifications:
Desktop & Server Support: Hands-on experience supporting Windows Server and Microsoft desktop operating systems.
Cloud Administration: Experience administering and supporting Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, and Azure cloud environments.
Core Networking: Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting standard network infrastructure, including switches, firewalls, and wireless solutions.
Ubiquiti Platform: Direct experience configuring, supporting, and troubleshooting Ubiquiti business-class networking platforms.
MSP Ticketing & Monitoring: Familiarity and experience using N-able and ConnectWise (or equivalent MSP platforms) for documentation, system monitoring, and ticket management.
Cybersecurity Basics: Solid understanding of cybersecurity best practices, including endpoint protection, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and security awareness.
Soft Skills: Strong troubleshooting capabilities, technical documentation skills, excellent time-management, and exceptional client-facing communication/customer service skills.
