Job description
We are seeking a Data Center Infrastructure Technician (06 Licensed) to support Research & Development data center environments in Redmond and Totem Lake.
This is a true hands-on installer role focused on rack and cabinet installation, fiber and copper cabling, limited energy systems, and infrastructure troubleshooting within pre-production lab facilities. You will work in advanced server environments where new technologies are built, tested, and validated before broader deployment.
The ideal candidate brings strong field experience, maintains high safety standards, communicates clearly, and takes pride in well-executed, physically demanding infrastructure work., * Install and maintain network/server racks and cabinets
- Run, terminate, test, and troubleshoot fiber optic and copper cabling
- Support low-voltage and limited energy systems installation
- Perform break/fix troubleshooting on network and server infrastructure
- Conduct inspections on HVAC, low voltage, and air systems as required
- Coordinate equipment deliveries and movement within facility
- Maintain inventory of fiber, copper, hardware, and tools
- Document work within ticketing systems (e.g., ADO or equivalent)
- Monitor and respond to safety and security issues
- Operate or learn to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts
- Support lab consolidation and infrastructure deployment projects
- Assist in testing infrastructure prior to enterprise-scale deployment
Work Breakdown:
- 80% Hands-on installation and maintenance
- 10% Coordination and meetings
- 10% Documentation and administrative updates
Requirements
- Valid Washington State Electrical Limited Energy 06 License (Required)
- High school diploma or equivalent (trade coursework preferred)
- 5-7 years of hands-on field experience in infrastructure or telecommunications environments
- Minimum 3 years installing and maintaining network or telecommunications equipment
- Experience working in rack-and-stack environments
- Experience installing and troubleshooting fiber optic systems
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Clear communication skills and ability to provide timely updates
- Familiarity with OSHA and safety standards
- Ability to lift 40 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
- Ability to work 100% onsite in Redmond and Totem Lake

For candidates based in Washington State, the anticipated salary range is $80,000 to $95,000 annually. Please note that we typically do not hire new employees at the top of the posted range. Actual starting pay will be determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity.
