Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Lead Security Technician to oversee the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced security systems across various facilities. This role is vital in ensuring the safety, security, and operational efficiency of our clients' environments. As a leader in the field, you will coordinate technical teams, interpret complex schematics, and deliver exceptional service support to meet diverse security needs. Your expertise will help safeguard assets while providing innovative solutions that enhance overall security infrastructure., * Lead and supervise security system installation projects, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and safety standards.

  • Troubleshoot and repair a wide range of security equipment including CCTV cameras, alarm systems, access control devices, sensors, and low voltage wiring.
  • Interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately install and modify security infrastructure.
  • Conduct system design assessments to recommend optimal configurations for surveillance, intrusion detection systems (IDS), fire alarms, and telecommunication networks.
  • Manage field service operations by coordinating on-site visits, diagnosing issues remotely using access software, and providing technical troubleshooting support.
  • Train and mentor junior technicians on equipment troubleshooting, cabling techniques, locksmithing practices, and construction best practices.

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of computer networking principles and telecommunication systems related to security infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in reading electrical blueprints, schematics, and interpreting technical drawings for system installation and troubleshooting.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with experience using hand tools and power tools for equipment installation or repair.
  • Expertise in surveillance systems including CCTV setup, sensors integration, remote access software configuration, and alarm & access control systems.
  • Solid electrical experience with low voltage wiring, cabling techniques, electrical blueprint reading, and construction site familiarity.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex security equipment issues involving fire alarms, intrusion detection systems (IDS), sensors, and surveillance devices.
  • Knowledge of security system sales processes to assist with client consultations or upgrades when needed.
  • Experience working as a service technician in the field with a focus on technical troubleshooting support for security systems.
  • Familiarity with NEC standards governing electrical installations and safety protocols within construction environments.
