Job description
- Develop architectural planning and design concepts for educational buildings under the direction of the Project Principals
- Support consultant meetings and design presentations
- Coordinate architectural design and building systems with engineering consultants
- Supervise project design drawing and detailing by junior production staff
- Support work with City and/or County agencies to resolve code related issues
- Support the Project Manager throughout the project construction phase by answering design RFI's and reviewing shop submittals
Requirements
We are looking for a talented Architectural Job Captain to support planning and design work on several school projects. Key qualifications include demonstrated design talent and experience with the design of institutional projects. Excellent team-working and communication skills are a must as well as a solid working knowledge of Revit drawing software., * B-Arch from a U.S. College or University
- At least 6-10 years of professional experience developing institutional buildings
- Licensure preferred
- Working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office and Bluebeam
- Working knowledge/fluency in Revit for project design and detailing
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
- Familiarity with Los Angeles building and zoning codes
- Knowledge of construction materials, standards and details
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Los Angeles area resident
- Must be authorized to work in the US
