Job description
System Design & Integration:
-
Lead the deployment of enterprise and clinical engineering solutions that convert manual business processes into automated, validated systems.

Architect, integrate, configure, and validate complex application ecosystems, with primary accountability for Veeva Clinical Operations and related platforms built on the Salesforce ecosystem.

Design and implement scalable integrations between Salesforce-based applications and enterprise systems, ensuring seamless data exchange, process automation, and operational efficiency.

Ensure system designs meet performance, reliability, scalability, security, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GxP, Part 11).

Translate product and business requirements into cohesive end-to-end system solutions across multiple platforms.

Establish and enforce engineering standards, design patterns, and integration approaches.

Partner with support teams to improve reliability, monitoring, and operational maturity.
Technical Leadership:
- Serve as the technical lead for cross-functional delivery teams, providing architectural direction and technical decision-making.
- Mentor and develop junior and senior engineers, promoting engineering excellence, best practices, and continuous improvement.
Analysis & Problem Solving:
- Perform functional, timeline, and trade-off analyses to evaluate solution options and recommend optimal approaches.
- Independently resolve highly complex technical issues requiring advanced judgment, creativity, and systems thinking.
- Balance cost, risk, supportability, and compliance in all technical decisions.
Program Management:
- Partner with Project and Program Managers to oversee the full solution lifecycle from requirements through implementation and post-go-live support.
- Coordinate internal and external technical resources, including vendors and platform partners.
Innovation & Development:
- Leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance system capabilities, automate processes, and improve decision-making.
- Contribute to the development of innovative architectural patterns integrating AI into clinical and enterprise systems.
- Continuously identify opportunities to apply emerging technologies to improve efficiency, scalability, and data quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in systems engineering, enterprise applications, solution architecture, or related technical disciplines.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, configuring, implementing, and integrating Salesforce-based platforms and applications.
- Experience leading large-scale enterprise application implementations and integrations.
- Experience working within regulated industries such as healthcare, life sciences, clinical research, or pharmaceuticals preferred.
- Proven ability to lead technical teams and influence architecture decisions across complex organizations.
Skills Required:
- Salesforce platform architecture, configuration, customization, and integration experience.
- Experience designing and implementing integrations using APIs, middleware, ETL tools, and event-driven architectures.
- Solution and system architecture design for enterprise-scale applications.
- Software development lifecycle (SDLC), validation, and compliance standards.
- Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Clinical system interoperability and data exchange.
- Agile and DevOps delivery methodologies.
- Strong troubleshooting and complex systems integration experience.
- Technical leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder management.
- AI-enabled solution design and process automation.
Skills Preferred:
- Experience with Veeva Clinical Operations, Veeva Vault, Veeva Site Connect, Veeva eTMF, Veeva CTMS, or other Veeva applications.
- Experience supporting clinical research, life sciences, or regulated healthcare environments.
- Familiarity with GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, and computerized system validation (CSV) requirements.
